Share your event with our community! Fill out the form below and we'll review your submission. Your event will be published as a draft and you'll receive a confirmation email.

Submission Guidelines

To increase the likelihood of your event being approved and appearing on our calendar, as well as improving your chances of having the message heard on air, please remember the following criteria:

  • Your event must be for a genuine community-based organisation or group. It should be relevant to 89.9 TheLight's community of interest and be free or low cost and not for profit.
  • Ensure your submission includes the main relevant details to inform our listeners, including date and time of event, as well as what the aim of the event is (under "EVENT DESCRIPTION").
  • Be economical and precise with your words: short, clear messages are more effective and more likely to be used.
  • Double check for accuracy of event and contact details before you submit.
  • Your event will not appear immediately as it needs to be approved by a staff member of 89.9 TheLight. Submissions are checked weekly on Wednesday.

Note: This is a free service provided by 89.9 TheLight and while we make every effort to promote your event online and on-air, no promotion is guaranteed. All events are subject to approval before appearing online.
